In my latest video, “G29 Review After 3 Years of Owning: Don’t Get Held Back,” I share my extensive experience with the Logitech G29 racing wheel after three years of ownership. As a seasoned sim racer, I can confidently recommend this wheel to anyone looking to dive into the world of virtual racing.
After three years of use, I am pleased to report that the G29 has stood the test of time admirably. I rate it a perfect 10 out of 10 for its durability and performance. Despite regular use, the wheel shows minimal signs of wear, with only some minor paint wear on the center line. Otherwise, it functions flawlessly, just like it did on day one.
However, the same cannot be said for the pedals. While they serve their purpose adequately, I rate them a 6 out of 10 due to their binary nature. The pedal response feels more like an on/off switch rather than offering the nuanced control required for competitive sim racing. As a result, I opted to upgrade to a set of pedals with more precision, providing me with greater control over braking.
That being said, the Logitech G29 is still an excellent choice for beginners or casual racers. It offers a solid entry point into the world of sim racing and performs admirably in a variety of driving games. While the pedals may leave something to be desired for serious racers, they are more than sufficient for getting started or enjoying casual gameplay.
Overall, I highly recommend the Logitech G29 racing wheel to anyone looking to take their virtual racing experience to the next level. Be sure to watch my video to see my in-depth thoughts and experiences with this exceptional racing wheel.
